• Description

One-component moisture-resistant polyurethane sealant in the form of a thixotropic mastic. After application, when in contact with air, the sealant vulcanizes and forms a flexible and adhesive mass. Color: gray, white. Physical characteristics: Flexible and deformable. Adhesion to different substrates. Easily evaporative at temperatures from +5 to +40oC. Excellent resistance to ultraviolet radiation and moisture. High mechanical strength. Working temperature from -40οC to +90οC. Paintable. The product is recommended for sealing and joining similar and dissimilar substrates, in traditional block/brick constructions, in construction and industrial buildings, in factory-made light and heavy structures. Adheres to most types of substrates: concrete, glass, wood, anodized aluminum, tiles, etc. Operating Instructions Joint Preparation: The joint surfaces to be sealed must be clean, dry and free of dust, grease/oil, old sealant and any other contaminants that may impair adhesion. The surfaces must be degreased using a solvent and a clean cloth. Use oil-free compressed air to remove dust. Priming: The sealant “ELASTOSEAL PU” generally does not require priming on most substrates in buildings. In the case of expansion joints with porous substrates (concrete), it is recommended to use the primer “PRIMER VL”. The sealant application is completed within 15 minutes - 3 hours after applying the primer. Seam dimensions: Take into account the deformation capacity of the sealant and local regulations. The width of the seam should be twice the depth when the width is greater than 20 mm and equal to the depth when the width is less than 20 mm. The width of the seams should not be less than 5 mm and not more than 40 mm.
